Privacy Policy: E-Mail Extractor
Last updated: 20 October 2026
In short: E-Mail Extractor runs entirely in your browser. It does not send your searches, the pages you read, or the candidates you find to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking.
What the extension does
E-Mail Extractor helps recruiters build Boolean (AND / OR / NOT) Google searches for public professional profiles. It also lists the candidates shown on a search results page, so you can filter them and export them to a CSV file.
What data it handles
- The page you are viewing, only when you click the extension button. The extension reads the visible text of that one tab. From it, it picks out names, headlines, locations, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and profile links that are already shown on the page. It does not read other tabs or your browsing history, and it never reads pages in the background.
- Your settings and shortlist. Your search form entries, filters and shortlisted candidates are saved on your own device, using the browser's local extension storage and the search page's local storage. They stay there until you clear them or remove the extension.
- Files you download. When you click "Download CSV" or "Download shortlist", the file is created on your device and saved where your browser saves downloads.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, transmit, store on a server, sell or share any of this data. The extension has no server.
- We do not use the data for advertising, profiling, credit checks or any purpose other than the features described above.
- We do not load or run code from the internet. All of the extension's code is included in the package that you install.
Links to other websites
Search links created by the extension open Google search results in a new tab. When you open those pages, or a profile on LinkedIn, those websites' own privacy policies apply.
Permissions
activeTabandscripting: let the extension read the current tab, only after you click its button.storage: saves your filters and shortlist on your device.clipboardWrite: lets the "Copy e-mails" button and clicked e-mail addresses copy to your clipboard.
Using contact details responsibly
The extension only shows information that is already public on the page you are viewing. You are responsible for how you use any contact details you export, including following the data-protection laws that apply to you, such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
Deleting your data
To delete your shortlist, click "clear" next to it in the extension. To delete everything, remove the extension from your browser. This erases all of its local storage.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. For questions, use the support or contact option on the extension's Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons page.
